How is French Marseille Soap made?

What's behind the Marseille Soap you've just purchased? Our Marseille Soaps (Savons de Marseille) are created by the 'Le Serail' Soap Factory, one of the last remaining artisanal and traditional soap-making factories in Marseille, based in the Phocéenne city.  The family business has used time-honoured methods for making France’s favourite soap, using the traditional expertise of a Maître Savonnier – a Master Soap Maker. Le Serail continues to make Marseille soaps the old fashioned way – boiled in a cauldron, hand cut, air dried and stamped.

Storing Marseille Soap

You can't go wrong with Marseille Soap. It is imperishable so you can keep it for years. The more your soap dries, the more it concentrates its vegetable Oil content and will last long.
